I hate to fail at anything, but I have to admit I’ve failed at this.

In March of 2025, when Kiko decided to knock on my door and move in to have her kittens, the plan was to keep them safe until they were weaned, have them chipped and spayed, and then find good homes for Mom, Tic, Luna, and Obie.
But somehow that didn’t happen. They were the sweetest little cat family and we all fell in love with each other. Even the resident cat, Meerkat, eventually succumbed to their charms.

Luna Finds a New Home

When the kittens were about 5 months old, a neighbor asked if he could adopt the fluffy grey kitten named Luna and I sent her on her way. It worked for a few days but then she kept coming back, sliding in the open screen door and jumping back on my lap or wrestling with her siblings.
In the end, my neighbor and I decided we were OK with that so Luna now has two places she can call home.
Living the Good Life Together

Is it sensible for a single guy to be living in a very small apartment with five cats? Not really. But they bring me so much joy, and they seem to be here to stay.
In the end, we’ve all accepted the inevitable and decided to just keep enjoying the good life together, one furry moment at a time.
